How many distilleries can we visit on our tour?
A typical 10-hour day can include 2-3 distilleries, and lunch.
What does the cost of our custom private tour include?
Planning assistance from our knowledgeable staff, transportation (we will pick you up at your hotel, Airbnb, or home), snacks, water bottles, and the services of a Trail N Track guide/driver for the day.
How far in advance of our visit should we book our tour?
We recommend booking at least three months in advance of your visit. This gives you a better chance to secure admissions at all of the distilleries on your wish list. Kentucky Derby Week is always the busiest. Therefore, we recommend booking as soon as possible.
What if someone in my group requires a wheelchair or has other accessibility needs?
While we can accommodate most situations, the distillery tours themselves typically involve a good deal of walking.
How long is our day?
A typical custom tour lasts about 10 hours, with pickup between 8-9 am and drop-off between 5-6 pm. Specific tour times will be determined and shared with the guests after booking. Most distillery tours are about 1 hour 15 minutes in length, including the tasting.

Comfortable shoes for walking are recommended. Closed-toe shoes are required for many of the tours. You will be outside during portions of most tours, so dress accordingly to be comfortable.
Can we take pictures?
Yes, although a few distilleries will tell you when photos are not allowed (this is rare).
Can we bring our own drinks on the tour?
You're allowed to bring a small cooler in the tour van. We keep a cooler filled with water bottles. Water bottles are allowed on most distillery tours, but open containers are not allowed.
Do I need to bring my ID?
YES! Most distilleries now ask to see a driver’s license for each guest. Active duty military and veterans may show ID for discounts at some distilleries.
Can I smoke? Is an e-cig ok?
Some distilleries provide a designated smoking area, but many are non-smoking facilities. If unsure, ask.
What type of vehicle will we be using?
For groups of 1-14, you'll be in one of our raised roof vans or in a full-size SUV.
Can I get a cocktail or bourbon drink at the distillery?
Many distilleries have cocktail bars with limited options for guests. If you would like to allow time to make this part of your tour experience, let us know when booking.
Where will we have lunch?
We recommend locally-owned Kentucky restaurants that serve great food. Let us know if you have food restrictions, allergies, require vegetarian or vegan options, etc.
Can I bring my kids along?
Kids are welcome to come along, as long as the distilleries you are visiting allow it. Call and ask our booking team about distilleries that are kid-friendly!
Can I bring my service animal along?
Service animals are allowed in the vehicle. However some distilleries may not allow them. It is best to ask first.
